 Our history...

 1999 was a year of change. It was also the year which saw the birth of Finance For Trade and Investment , one of the first international  investment agencies. Backed by HON. NWABUEZE, BUCHI GEORGE the not-for-profit business aimed to help boost business , economy by combining practical business advice alongside SME business lending.

Following the 2008 economic crash, we recognised that many successful and viable businesses were facing uncertain futures, simply because they couldn’t access the vital lending needed from traditional high street lenders.   We stepped in to help, relaunching our loan fund, placing an emphasis upon helping SME businesses unable to access traditional business lending. It’s a model we continue to use today.

We have continued to expand the geographical areas in which operate and today, we are proud to support businesses based throughout the Region.  

Our commitment towards supporting and building a strong SME economy remains just as important to us today as it did when we first opened our doors back in 1999.
